9th Graders Bring History to Life

On Friday, May 10th, Mrs. Lemmon's ninth grade U.S. History classes opened a living wax museum to KMS/KHS students and staff. As a final project, the students chose a prominent American who was alive between 1800 and 1940 to research and then created a tri-fold complete with a timeline and photos about that person's life. Finally, they constructed an "elevator speech" to deliver to any visitors. When students and staff arrived at each station, a button was pressed and the past was brought to life as the students delivered their speeches in the first person taking on the persona of their chosen American. The museum was open for six class periods and enjoyed by all.
