Day 1 - Students went over Flight Concepts, Bernoulis Principle, and the forces that affect flight. The students built paper airplanes from templates and then created remote-controlled paper airplanes and flew them at the stadium.
Day 2 - Students designed an electric glider to see who could create the most efficient glider that flies with the least power.
Day 3 - Students designed and launched model rockets.
Day 4 - Students learned about drone technology, how to fly, rules and regulations, and had a drone contest to see who could fly through the course successfully and efficiently.
Day 5 - Students visited Coherent Corp to see engineering design principles firsthand. The students got to see what it takes to create precise parts through metrology, optics, and engineering. Thanks to Kyle Branigan and Fred Kropf for answering questions and giving tours of the facility.
