Knoch’s AP science students and gifted students had the opportunity to attend the Faraday lecture on November 13th. The Faraday lecture is presented at Soldiers and Sailors Hall by the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh and the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh. This year’s Faraday Lecture was chaired by our very own AP Chemistry teacher, Mrs. Shouse. The lecture, “Don’t Blink” featured Ray Euler from the University of Pittsburgh who presented a series of visual chemical reactions with flashes, bangs, and color changes.
