Knoch's Extreme Leaders

Senior Lindsay Mack and junior Camden ChristieKnoch High School's 2025 Extreme Leaders, presented their service project to peers and superintendents from over 25 schools on Wednesday, April 9, at the Midwestern IU. Two student leaders are chosen each year from schools in Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer counties to bring their communities together through acts of volunteerism and charity. For the second year in a row, Knoch's project is called "Teens Teach Tech" and involves students helping senior citizens with technology, app, and phone use. They have worked with the Butler County Agency on Aging, and in May, they plan on partnering with the Saxonburg Library. Please check the district and the library's website in the upcoming weeks for more details.

As an add-on to the technology lessons, Lindsay and Camden felt there were additional opportunities to connect the generations, so along with Magnolia Place of Saxonburg, Student Council, and the National Honor Society, they organized a caroling and craft day in December of 2024.  They are planning on doing a Trivia Day with the seniors at the end of the school year. While next year's Extreme Leaders may choose a new project, Camden and Lindsay are working with their other school clubs and activities to continue "Teens Teach Tech" for years to come.
